Art is defined as anything that is desirable to the senses. A visually appealing design is therefore an artpiece. Although no one would seem to object about this statement, designers – particularly graphic designers – acknowledge the fact that it takes more than a visually appealing image to make a meaningful design.

If there is an existing universal form of art, that would be none other than graphic design. Graphic designs are everywhere – in magazines, newspapers, in the streets, and even on our bodies. They have even more proliferated in the advent of computer technologies.

Graphic design’s significance in a catalog is immense as it acts just like an effective salesman. A potential customer can take his time to decide upon purchasing a particular product after having discussed with his friends and relatives by making use of it. Thus, it is very important that a catalog is organized and printed in the most efficacious and attractive way to draw a favourable reaction from the customers.
